We are all well qualified, experienced and dedicated professionals who work together as a team to provide you and your pet with a quality of service second to none. We are continuously updating our skills and knowledge to ensure that your pet receives the most up to date care and treatments available.
 Dr Claire Cable. BVSc GPcert SAP.
Claire is a New Zealander and graduated from Massey University in 1998. Her first one and a half years after graduation were spent in mixed animal practice in Southland. In 2000 she headed to the United Kingdom where she spent six and a half years working in small animal practice.
 Dr Colin Cable. BVSc GPcert SAP.
Colin is a South African and graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2000. Colin has also spent six and a half years working in small animal practice in the United Kingdom.
Claire and Colin returned from the United Kingdom at the end of 2006 and have been at Vetcall ever since. Both Colin and Claire have completed a postgraduate General Practioners Certificate in Small Animal Practice (GPcert SAP). Claire's area of special interest and expertise is internal medicine whilst Colin has a special interest and expertise in surgery and diagnostic imaging. For more challenging and difficult cases Claire and Colin belong to an international veterinary information network which means rapid access to the opinions and advice of leading veterinary specialists throughout the world. Both Claire and Colin are certified to export dogs and cats to Australia. In December 2008 Claire and Colin became parents with the arrival of their son Luca. Spare time together used to be spent mountain biking, tramping and skiing but these activities are on the back burner for the moment! Colin is a keen fisherman and Claire loves to cook.
 Katrina Fagan. Nat Cert VN.
Katrina completed the National Certificate in Veterinary Nursing in 2009 and started at Vetcall in February 2010. Whilst completing her studies Katrina has enjoyed working with both children and animals. Katrina has two elderly black and white cats called Snoofy and Kit, a free range guinea pig called Bumble, and several adopted animal friends. Her hobbies include painting, playing the guitar, anything outdoorsy and spending time with her family and friends.
 Sarah Stanley. Nat Cert VN.
Sarah has been a team member at Vetcall since the beginning of 2008. As well as being an experienced qualified Veterinary Nurse, Sarah also has a degree in Performing Arts. In March 2010 Sarah starts full time study at teachers training college. Sarah will continue to run our very popular Puppy Preschool and provide holiday nursing cover. At the completion of her studies she hopes to become a primary school teacher. Sarah is married to Hayden, has an elderly tabby cat called Tinks, a Doberman puppy called Portia, and a big station bred horse called Nimbus. Her hobbies include horse-riding, performing arts and travel.
 Poorna Beri. Nat Cert VN
Poorna graduated from Christchurch Polytechnic in 2006 with the National Certificate in Veterinary Nursing. Since then has been nursing both in New Zealand and abroad. Poorna also has a bachelors and masters degree in fine arts - painting. These days she is more into sketching and photography than painting. When she is not at work Poorna loves getting out into the great outdoors, and also enjoys swimming, dancing, music, reading and travel.
 Miss Daisy.
Daisy is the longest standing member of the Vetcall team. She was rescued as a kitten and has been here ever since. She is often found lazing on the reception counter awaiting visitors at the clinic. Her hobbies include eating, sleeping, hiding and getting stuck in cupboards or in the garage or on the roof! She also enjoys eating and borrowing toys and treats from the shop!
